Dom Tess


Overview

Asea is almost like another world within Terragloria. It is an all female society of sophisticated amazon women who have cut their lands off from the rest of Terragloria. Though they are cut off they still hold a great amount of power within almost all civilized societies within Terragloria, though few really suspect this. The engine that keeps the web of their power strong is the Dom Tess.

In the all female society of Asea there are few that are as respected or feared as the Dom Tess. These women are at the heart of politics in both Asea and abroad. They are capable fighters, but there real strength lies in politics and the motivation of those who are in control. Almost every society in Terragloria has a Dom Tess behind the scenes. She will usually have the ear of the king, governor, mayor, or anyone else holding power. They use whatever skills are available to them to accomplish the dicates given to them by the matriarchy of Asea.

The Dom Tess are the perfect political machines. They will do whatever it takes to maintain their hold on the rest of the world. The Dom Tess will use everything from their female charms to outright blackmail to achieve their goals. They are trained from an early age to manipulate and control kings and governments. Though many are within the power of the Dom Tess few realize this. The Dom Tess work through subtle manipulation instead of brute force, but if brute force is what it takes then they can do that also.

Requirements

To qualify to become a Dom Tess a character must fulfill the folowing criteria:

Base Attack Bonus: +4
Diplomacy: 4 Ranks
Gather Information: 3 Ranks
Sense Motive: 3 Ranks
Feats: Leadership, Skill Focus (Diplomacy)
Special: Character must be a female member of the society of Asea.

Class Skills

The Dom Tess' class skills (and the key ability for each skill are Bluff(Cha), Diplomacy (Cha), Gather Information (Cha), Innuendo (Wis), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (Royalty) (Int), Knowledge (Religion) (Int), Listen (Wis), Read Lips (Int, exclusive skill), Sense Motive (Wis), Speak Language. See Chapter 4: Skills in the Core Rule Book I for Descriptions.
Skill Points at Each Level: 6 + Cha modifier.

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the Dom Tess Prestige Class:

Hit Dice: d8

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The Dom Tess are proficient with all simple martial weapons. The Dom Tess is not proficient with any armor.

Fearful Aura: At 2nd level the Dom Tess gains the ability to cause fear in those around her. Through body posture, movements, eye contact, and vocal inflection a Dom Tess can cause fear in intelligent humanoid creatures. The reaction is subconscious to the victim. The victim must be intelligent, and humanoid in shape (allowing it to relate to the subliminal messages that the Dom Tess are using). The victim must also be looking at the Dom Tess and be able to hear her. The victim will suffer a -1 - the Dom Tess' Charisma modifier to all dice rolls due to poor moral. A will save will negate the effects of this fear. The Dom Tess can use Fearful Aura once a day for each point of her Charisma modifier.

Bonus Language: At 1st, 3rd, 6th, and 10th level the Dom Tess will gain a bonus language. The language will be a language of the region that she is in. The Dom Tess will strive to learn other languages to help her in mastering her control of that region.

Charming Radiance: At 4th level the Dom Tess gains the Charming Radiance ability. Through body posture, movements, and vocal inflection a Dom Tess can befriend a humanoid creature. The creature must speak the same language as the Dom Tess. This ability is as the Charm Person spell. The Dom Tess can use Charming Radiance once a day for each point of her Charisma modifier.

Sense Truth: At 9th level the Dom Tess will gain the ability to tell truths from lies. While studying a humanoid creature while they are speaking a Dom Tess can tell lies from truths. She watches for minute changes in the speakers body movements, breathing, and facial expressions to detect lies. If the speaker believes what he is saying then it will be perceived as a truth by the Dom Tess (so information could be untrue yet the Dom Tess would perceive it as the truth). A will save will negate the Dom Tess' ability to tell lies from the truth. The Dom Tess can use Sense Truth once a day for each point of her Intelligence modifier.
